This is just the best

"I now realize that all of the complaining parents do on their blogs that annoyed the crap out of me while I was pregnant wasn't really complaining at all. The poop and lack of sleep and crying and stuff is the equivalent of complaining about how ice cream makes you fat...Doesn't diminish the pleasure of the ice cream at all."

It's true. And as they get older, the tantrums and the whining and the "Ew, I'm not eating that!" are all wiped out by a hug or a smile or the first time they wobble off soloing without their training wheels.

I'm not sure what it'll take to offset totalling my car, but I'm sure I'll find out in another 6 or 7 years. It's a wild ride, and totally worth it.
